WELCOME TO THE ART STUDIO

OUR ART

It all begins with the gathering of pigments and sand—ancient and time-honoured materials that open the door for an artistry fueled by the love of nature. With a little practice, the eye can detect new subtleties that had previously gone unnoticed. Just spending time in nature and discovering these materials is already such a thrill.

Our paintings make use of materials that were already being used in ancient times, such as marble dust, pigments, oils, and wax. Owing to their purity, pigments play an especially central role, giving our paintings their characteristic zest and vitality.

Throughout the creation process, we use our artwork to express our ideas in harmony with form and structure. As artists, we are never bound by any one influence or idea, because we are precisely fascinated with the process of interacting with nature. The artist must go with the flow and adapt to an evolving situation, as in life itself.

Our artistic process is rooted in nature and its colour palettes, with their infinite and scintillating shades of beauty and diversity. The use of these colours by certain ancient cultures has sparked our passion for novel approaches, the most important of which has become spatula technique. We are always trying to come closer to the heart of the creative act, because we believe authenticity comes from intimacy and the very nature of being itself. This is the simple yet profound source of our distinctive artwork.

Our paintings are born of a symbiosis between artist and nature.
They owe their uniqueness to a number of materials:

- Pure mineral and earth pigments
- Sands from different countries
- Marble flour from Italy

- Natural Casein
- Palembang natural resin from Malaysia
- Real beeswax

- Carnauba wax from Brasil
- Linseed and poppy oil
- Shellac from India and Thailand

THE ARTISTS

Heinz Künzli

Born in Switzerland. Times lived in South America, China and European countries gave me access to other cultures, languages and landscapes. Previously an engineer and architect, contact with nature has been and will always be an important part of my life. So it was that my art began with the collection of color pigments, minerals and sands. Extraordinary artists and mentors paved the way for me into the world of painting. As a self-taught person, I like to experiment with the infinite possibilities of natural materials. What started as a hobby has now become a passion.

Ana Cornejo

Peruvian, born in the beautiful city of Cusco, Contemplate, imagine and finally create, are part of my daily life. The freedom, vitality and energy resulting from the harmonious relationship I have with nature excite me to continue strengthening my soul. My work is a tribute of gratitude to this wonderful world. Capturing the different mineral pigments and materials found in my travels around the world is a dialogue between the universe and myself. Obviously, ideas are not lacking, but in the end, it is nature that imposes itself on each work and she decides how and when she applies her law.
